David Ewing - Flight Instrutor

David grew up in Boise and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps right out of high school. David was stationed on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Ranger during the filming of Top Gun, and watching F-14 fighters land just fueled his desire to fly even more. After seeing the world, he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Computer Information Systems from Boise State University. He wasn’t done with the military yet, and served as an Air Defense Officer in a Patriot Missile Battery in Kaiserslautern, Germany. After working at the Boise School District for a little over 2 years, David joined Crucial Technology, a division of Micron, as a software engineer.

In August 2003, David finally was able to pursue his dream of becoming a commercial pilot and became a flight instructor at Jetstream Aviation in September 2006. David is married to Dawn, and has two children Jacob and Capri. Capri loves to fly and someday soon, she hopes to be able to reach the rudder peddles. Jacob is too busy on the ground chasing animals to even look up at the sky.
